CHROMEBOOKS ARE IN HIGH DEMAND AS A RESULT OF DISTANCE LEARNING.

 

According to research conducted by the International Data Corporation (IDC), sales of laptop computers running the Chrome OS operating system are increasingly increasing around the world

Chromebook sales worldwide were about 13.0 million in the first quarter of this year. This is up 357.1 percent from the first quarter of 2020, when 2.8 million units were shipped

As e-learning systems develop in the midst of the pandemic, demand for Chrome OS computers is increasingly increasing


SALES OF CHROMEBOOKS

In the last quarter, HP overtook Dell as the leading Chromebook vendor, accounting for 33.5 percent of the market. Lenovo, which is in second position, owns another 25.6 percent of the global market. Acer received 14.5 percent of the vote for "Bronze." As a result, these three firms control approximately three-quarters of the global Chrome OS laptop market

Dell is in fourth position with an 11.3 percent market share. Samsung, a South Korean conglomerate, rounds out the top five with 8.0 percent. The combined market share of all other vendors is just 7.2 percent
