Motorola showed a video demonstration of its air charging technology in January of this year. Motorola recently promoted a more efficient wireless charging system once again.
Motorola recently teamed up with GuRu Wireless, a company that specialises in in-air wireless charging technology, to develop a new wireless charging smartphone
GuRu's air wireless charging system is made up of interconnected (mmWave) modules and a small transmitter. Millimeter wave is a type of radio frequency that operates in the 30GHz to 300GHz range. It's close to the frequency used to relay wireless signals in today's ultra-high-speed, short-range 5G network
As a result, wireless charging technology allows power to be transmitted in a more regulated and secure manner. GuRu's transmitter and receiver can be miniaturised, and it can better direct and restrict electromagnetic waves thanks to its use of millimetre wave frequencies and intelligent algorithms.
GuRu claims that their generators can be connected at a distance of more than 30 feet (approximately 9 metres) and transmit power to multiple receivers at the same time, regardless of the connected equipment's power
